Obituary of Alfred R. Czarnecki

Alfred R. Czarnecki, age 80 of Youngstown, passed away on Friday March 30, 2012 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.
Alfred was born in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late John and Pauline Czarnecki, and was a 1949 graduate of Kensington High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Alfred worked as a Chemical Operator for Olin Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls.
A resident of Youngstown for the past 50 years, Alfred was a member of St. Bernard's RC Church, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed bird watching, star watching, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rose J. (Torba) Czarnecki; his children, Philip (Eileen) Czarnecki of Pendleton, NY, Linda Czarnecki (Fiancé, Thomas) of North Tonawanda, Jeanette (Patrick) Hann of Charlotte, NC, Marguerite (Joseph) Marra of Bryn Mawr, PA, and James Czarnecki of Rochester, NY; two granddaughters, Nicole and Lindsay; a sister, Tillie Roberts of Akron, OH; a brother, Roger (Diana) Czarnecki of Oklahoma City, OK; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nine siblings.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 3, at 10:00 am in St. Bernard's RC Church, Second and Hinman Sts., Youngstown.There will be no prior visitation. Please assemble at Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., WNY Chapter, 315 Alberta Dr., Amherst, NY 14226. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME,3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, NY.
