I'm very saddened to hear of Doug's passing. He made working on the flight line fun as he always kept us laughing. It was a pleasure to know him. My prayers go out to him, his family and friends who's lives he impacted. Godspeed Doug.

I'll always treasure the friendship of Doug. He was the best. We served together in the Air Force, roomed together on trips, partied together, golf together and joked together. God rest your soul Rod. We'll all miss you but you will always be in our hearts and minds.

I only met Doug once, at the wedding his daughter, Aimee and my son, Taylor. I was impressed with his quiet reserve. I know Aimee will miss him much, as will her three sons miss their "Goompa". My condolences to all who loved him. May God grant you comfort, peace and understanding.

I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Aldred in 1995. We had both served in the military during Operation Desert Storm and I enjoyed talking with him about his experiences there.
Sadly, he passed at 66, same age as my dad.
Funny how you remember someone from a brief stint in your life and they can leave a lasting impression on your own life.
Peace.
