Obituary of Terry E. Diez

Terry E. Diez, age 66 of Youngstown died Saturday January 21, 2012 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a long illness. Terry was born December 5, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Donald F. and Marie C. (York) DeTamble. A lifelong resident, she was a 1964 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School and she married Fred "Jim" Diez on March 12, 1966 . Terry was devoted to her family. She enjoyed taking her sons fishing when they were young and spending time with them. Terry also enjoyed craft making and ceramics. In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by her sons, James (Laurie) Diez of DeVeaux, Travis (Jennifer) Diez and Cory (Andrea Rotella) Diez both of the Town of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Holli and Tyler Diez, Mykel and Kaitlyn Virgilio, Jacey, Tristan, and Lucas Diez, Alyssa Diez, Karrigan, Allison, and Julia Rotella; two sisters, Judy A. (Norman) Ault of Ransomville, and Donna (Calvin, Jr.) Hockenberry of Youngstown; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 3 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 25, at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard's RC Church, Second & Hinman Sts., Youngstown, with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Moran officiating.(Please assemble at Church). Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd. Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
