Obituary of Irish Hailey

Rosella (Irish) Hailey of Eddy Drive, Lewiston , passed away Thursday December 15, 2011. Irish was born and raised in the small Irish community of Askeaton, WI, near Green Bay, WI. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Rose Early. She moved to Niagara Falls in 1954 and married the late Jim Hailey of Niagara Falls, who died in 1990. The moved to Lewiston in 1959, where she has resided since. Irish was a communicant of St. Peter's RC Church in Lewiston; a former member of the St. Francis Guild, the Niagara Frontier Country Club, and the Lewiston Democratic Club. She is survived by a son, John Patrick Hailey (Jill) of Lewiston; a granddaughter, Ashley of California; a brother, John (Phyllis) Early of Green Bay, WI; three nieces; and dear friends, Michael and Rita Rutledge. She was the mother of the late Dan Hailey who died in 1993. She was also predeceased by sisters, Ann Early and Rita Wolfgram, and a brother Robert Early. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Sunday from 3 - 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 19, at 10:00 am in St. Peter's RC Church,600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Michael Zuffoletto officiating. (Please assemble at Church). Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092.
