Robert Frank Stuart, Jr., 73 - devoted friend, father, and grandfather - departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior on September 27, 2011. Bob was a lifelong resident of the Buffalo-Niagara area. Born on October 24, 1937 in Niagara Falls to Robert Frank Stuart, Sr. and Winifred Byrum Stuart, he graduated from LaSalle High School. Bob attended Alfred University and served in the US Army. After an honorable discharge, he began his business career at Stauffer Chemical but then entered the commercial real estate business with Hammerson Properties, Inc. Bob rose to prominence in the local industry, serving as general manager of Main Place mall and office tower, the Liberty Building, the Statler Hilton hotel, and other prominent downtown Buffalo landmarks. Before retiring, he oversaw Buffalo Civic Auto Ramps, Inc., the city's non-profit entity responsible for downtown parking structures. Bob earned the prestigious Certified Property Manager designation, which served him in an active side business as a real estate consultant to the local legal industry where he provided expert witness testimony and property inspections. A former deacon with Wayside Presbyterian Church in Hamburg, Bob was an active member of Wanakah Country Club where he loved to golf and play cards with his friends.
Passionate about his Scottish heritage, his legacy of caring and sharing lives on through his sister Linda Ann (Wayne)Rudloff of Louisville, Kentucky; brother Charles Stephen Stuart; sons Robert Frank(Leslie) Stuart III of Atlanta, Georgia; Scott Clay(Dana) Stuart of Santa Barbara, California; Geoffrey Randall Stuart of Richmond, Virginia; and Michael Bradford (Nicole)Stuart of Lewiston,; as well as his daughter Jennifer Frances Stuart, of Youngstown.
