Obituary of Mary Margaret Williams

Mary Margaret Williams, age 75 formerly of Ransomville, died Thursday September 8, 2011 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a long illness. Mary has been a resident of Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence for the past six years. Mary was born June 1, 1936 in Lewiston, the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Margaret (O'Neil) Currie. She was a Health Aide, employed by Stella Niagara Education Park for 10 years retiring in 1980. Previous to that she had worked for 10 years as a Home Health Aide for the Niagara County Health Department. She enjoyed gaming at the casino and bingo, Her greatest enjoyment came with being with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Dean) Johnson of Wilson and Dawn (Joseph) Paul of Ransomville; her grandchildren, Robert, Nick, and Adam Paul; and a brother, James (Marlene) Currie of Newfane. She was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Williams; a son, Robert Williams; brothers, Jack, Fred, William, Theodore, Thomas, Buddy, Robert, and Patrick Currie; and sisters, Ruth Lort and Alice Doty. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Sunday from 3 - 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 12, at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception RC Church, 4671 Townline Rd. (Rte.429) Ransomville, with the Rev. Joseph Badding officiating. (Please assemble at Church) Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
