Obituary of Raymond C. Morse

Raymond C. Morse, age 79 of Ransomville died Friday June 17, 2011 at his residence after a short illness. Raymond was born September 2, 1931 in Hornell, NY, the son of the late Alley and Mildred (Cochran) Morse and has lived in Ransomville since 1956. He was an Electrician, employed by Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls, NY for over 40 years. Raymond was a longtime member and an Exempt Member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Co. He was a Jack of All Trades and enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and going to the Ransomville Speedway, as well as an avid Buffalo Bills fan. His first wife, Mary (Hasley) Morse died in 1965 and his second wife, Mona M. (White) Morse died in 1989. Raymond was also predeceased by his longtime companion Louise Curry. He is survived by his children, Connie (Gary) Moore of Coal Valley, IL, Ronald Morse of Bristol, NY, Bonnie (Richard) Spencer and John (Renee`) Morse both of Ransomville, Rob (Leslie) Morse of Corning, NY, and Mary Anne (Rick) Barcomb of Kissamee, FL; his step children, Sandy, Daniel, and Susan; 17 grandchildren, several great and step great grandchildren; Louise's children, Randy, Roger, Tim, and Becky. He was also predeceased by two sisters and two brothers. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held following visitation at 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be on Wednesday in the Rural & Hope Cemetery, Hornell, NY.
