Obituary of Margaret Ann Elliott

Peg passed away peacefully at Fairchild Manor Nursing Home Lewiston, NY in the afternoon of Friday May 20, 2011 in her 78th year. Born June 1, 1933 in Kitchener, Ontario, Peg was the daughter of the late William M. and A. Margaret (nee Innes) Elliott. She is survived by her son, James William(USMC, Retired) (Colleen); grandchildren, Chris, Ashley (Joe), and Gage; her sister, Martha (late Arthur) Robertson of Stouffville, Ontario; nephew, Andrew of Stouffville, Ontario; nieces, Amanda (Wes) of Ottawa, and Susan (Mike) of Toronto; grand nieces, Fiona and Gwendolyn; and a grand nephew, Sammy. Peg will be lovingly remembered by her family for her strong, adventurous spirit, her warm sense of humor, love of storytelling, travel in the U.S.A and the West Indies, literature and animals. She was very talented in art and languages and had a strong faith in God and life-everlasting. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps in her 20's and Peg was a copy writer for the Buffalo Evening News. She enjoyed sharing many good times with her Ransomville friends. Her family thanks both the staff at Ransomville Manor and Fairchild Manor in Lewiston for their devoted care of our Peg. "Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20 A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 18, at 11:00 am in the Heritage Manor of Ransomville, 3509 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, with the Rev. Joseph Badding officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville.
