Obituary of Roger B. Flood

Youngstown, Roger B. Flood, age 64 of Youngstown, died Wednesday August 5, 2009 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a brief illness.
Roger was born October 29, 1944 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Arnold W. and Ruby (Carr) Flood Daley and was a 1963 graduate of Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls. He married Rosemary (Ernst) Flood on December 23, 1988 and they have resided in Youngstown the past 20 years. Roger was an Independent/Owner and Truck Driver for 34 years, retiring in 2008. He had also worked on the assembly line at the General Motors Main Engine Plant in Tonawanda for 9 years.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Flood was a member of the 3 F Conservation Club in Youngstown and a member of the Niagara River Anglers Association. As a hobby, Roger restored and painted Classic Cars. He enjoyed seeing the United States with his over the road Trucking Business.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; his children, Timothy Flood and Robin Trunzo both of Niagara Falls, NY, and Wendy Moriarty of Pine Plains, NY; his sisters, Joyce DeLorenzo of
Niagara Falls, NY and Janet (Ernie) Eichler of North Tonawanda; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a half brother, Thomas Daley and his step father, Frank Daley.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 8, at 1:30 PM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan Keppy officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co., Ambulance Fund, PO Box 387, Youngstown, NY 14174.
