Nancy E. Munro, age 41 of Sanborn, died Saturday May 14, 2011 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Residence in Lewiston, after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Nancy was born October 25, 1969 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, the daughter Linda C. (Thompson) Munro of Youngstown and the late James B. Munro. She was a 1988 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School and 1992 graduate of Niagara University where she received her B.A. in Humanities and Social Services. Nancy was a Bereavement Counselor, employed by Niagara Hospice, in Lockport for a short time. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown. Nancy will be remembered for her caring, honesty and compassion that she shared with the people in the community around her. She was always upbeat and maintained her wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her mother, Linda C. Munro of Youngstown; a son, Marcus J. Jackson; a brother, Bradley J. Munro; and her close friend, Darren Powell. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 19, at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 100 Church St., Youngstown, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, WNY Chapter, 4245 Union Rd., Suite 108, Buffalo, NY 14225. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston.
