Timothy E. Williams, age 69 of Model City, died unexpectedly on Saturday April9, 2011 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston.
Tim was born March 10, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Jay S. and Frances (Grube) Williams. He was a lifelong resident of Model City and a 1961 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School. An U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, Tim served from March of 1964 to his honorable discharge as a SP 4 in March of 1966. He was the recipient of the Marksman (Rifle M-14) Medal, the Good Conduct Medal (First Award), One Overseas Stripe, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Vietnam), and the Mechanic Badge with Bar. He married Bernadine V. (Wood) Williams on November 22, 1968. For the past 40 years, Tim has been a Truck Driver, employed by Modern Corp. in Model City, NY.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown; a member and past Commander of VFW Down River Post #7487 in Lewiston; a member of the American Legion John J. Welch Post # 381 in Niagara Falls and its' 40/8; a member of the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. # 1 and an Exempt Member. Tim enjoyed NASCAR racing and spending time in his shop restoring cars, especially his 1949 Ford. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Bernadine; his daughters, Jennifer (Patrick) Dunn of Lewiston and Elizabeth (Ralph Jr.) Grizanti of Wilson; his grandchildren, Samantha and Ralph Grizanti, III, Madison and Jack Timothy Dunn; a sister, Suetta Bale of Niagara Falls, NY; his step mother, Elnora (Kelly) Williams of Battle Creek, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Tuesday from 3 - 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 13, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Rex Stewart officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
