Obituary of Joyce Mayne

Joyce Mayne, age 75 of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Sunday March 20, 2011 in the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Joyce was born November 21, 1935 in Bradford, PA, the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Lyons) Spencer and was a 1953 graduate of LaSalle High School. She married William G. Mayne, Jr. on August 28, 1954 and has resided in Lewiston the past 43 years. William predeceased her on July 26, 2007 after 53 years of marriage. Joyce was a member of the Lewiston Service Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her weekly dinner group of friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Dana) Green of Manlius, NY and Pamela Mayne (David Paulson) of St. Augustine, FL; her grandchildren, Dana Greene, III, Alison Greene, Johnette Kraft, Kim Lane, and Pam Grandizo; her sisters, Mary Adams of Niagara Falls, NY, Gail Luik of the Town of Wheatfield, and Raye Holka of Lockport; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Friday, March 25, from 2 to 4 pm. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092.
