Joanne M. Pendziwiatr (nee Smith), of Ransomville, NY formerly of Depew, NY, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on October 18, 2024. Born on October 29, 1940, she was the beloved daughter of the late Howard S. and Helen F. Smith. Joanne worked as an LPN with Weinberg Campus for 15 years and previously at Trico for 18 years. She adored spending time with her granddaughter Krystal, was passionate about gardening, traveling, meeting new people, and enjoyed coffee outings. Joanne was a former dancer on Buffalo Band Stand in the late 1950s. She loved animals, especially her "JoJo," who passed away before her. Joanne is survived by her loving children, Julie A. (Leah) Fallesen and Michael (Alison) Klein; cherished grandmother of six; dear sister of Howard, Gary Smith, and Helen Floss; also survived by many nieces. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 4-7 PM at Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., 401 N. Ridge Street (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets). Interment will be held privately in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Whiskers Senior Dog Sanctuary, P.O. Box 366, Cheektowaga, NY 14225.
