It is with great sadness that the family of William J. Mollosky of Lewiston announce his passing on October 17, 2024 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport.
Bill lived a life of compassion, warmth and kindness, touching the lives of everyone he encountered. Bill and his wife of 28 years, Jeanine M. Carr, enjoyed sharing their love of music, reading and travel. A man of many interests, Bill loved riding his bike every day in any weather, creating his beautiful gardens and solving the world's problems with his many friends over a cold beer. Bill and Jeanine's home was always filled with laughter, bookds and cats.
Bill, the son of the late Edward and Frances (nee Terhaar) Mollosky, was born on April 8, 1947 in Lockport . A 1965 graduate of Wilson Central School, he was a 3 sport athlete who went on to play football at Brockport. He served in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart. After graduating from Bryant and Stratton, he started is career in the banking industry working for Bank of America, M& T and Fleet Bank, eventually becoming a district manager overseeing 41 branches. "Banker Bill," as he was affectionaltely known, was past president of the Wheatfield Business Asscoication, secretary of the Wheatfield Lions, on the Board of Directors of Hanai and the NF WMCA and was awarded the Good Neighbor of the year award. He was also a member of the LaSalle and Main Street Kiwanis, the 7487 VFW and the Lower Niagara Moose.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jeanine Carr, son James Mollosky, daughter Kristen Castracane, grandson Anthony Castracane, sisters Diane Miller (late Lester), Cheryl Andrews (late Frank), Susan Segarra (Martin), brother Robert Mollosky, former wife Carolyn Mollosky, several nieces and nephews, two great cats, Reilly and Elliott and many loyal friends.
Arrangements entrusted to the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC. At Bill's request, there will be no services. In remembrance of Bill, try to perform an act of kindness each day.
