Obituary of Dennis Richard Karski

Dennis R. Karski of Youngstown, NY passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024. Mr. Karski was born on January 31, 1943 to the late Leo W. and Freda M. (nee Mitchell) Karski. Dennis graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1961 and earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Buffalo in 1966. After graduating, Dennis served four years in the U.S. Navy, reaching the rank of Lieutenant. He married the love of his life, Pamela S. Andrews on May 13, 1967. Together they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Upon leaving the Navy, Mr. Karski continued his service to the country by joining the U.S. Border Patrol in 1972. Mr. Karski retired in 1995 as the Assistant Chief Patrol Agent, Buffalo Sector. Dennis had a lifelong passion for music and was a gifted musician. He played multiple instruments, but excelled as a percussionist. He also found pleasure in landscape design and created beautiful outdoor spaces. Besides his parents, Mr. Karski is preceded in death by his dear sister, Judith (Keith) Robinson. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Pamela; his three loving children, Todd (Denise), Kristian and Jonathan; and his cherished grandchildren, Erin, Nathan, Natalie and Lauren. The family will be present to receive friends on October 22, 2024 from 4-7pm at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 N. Ridge Street (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets), Lewiston, NY where funeral services will follow at 7 PM. Friends invited. A private committal service will take place in the Western New York National Cemetery.
