I was so sorry to hear about Mert's passing. He was a big part of my life growing up next to the gas station on Ridge Rd. I ran into him often after moving back to Ransomville several years ago and he was always so sweet to me although he would sometimes mix me up with my older sister Pat. My sincere condolences to your family.
Regards - Janet (Gorman) Hyla

My mom Ann Marie and our family meet Mert at the nursing home where mom and Mert had some good conversations, except she can’t here well and Mert would say “go get some hearing aids” then mom would swear at him. They really liked each other’s company though. They did have a lot of laughs. I know mom will miss him. I will miss him. Always looked forward to seeing Mert and his daughters. The nicest family, he was so lucky, all his daughters were always there for him and they were so lucky to have such a beautiful father. We will miss all of you. God bless!
Sincere condolences and prayers.
Ann Maria DiMatteo and daughter Michele
