Obituary of Karen L. Hanson

Karen L. Hanson, of Youngstown, NY, passed suddenly on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Sisters Of Charity Hospital of Buffalo. She was 54. Karen was born on June 20, 1970 in Niagara Falls, NY. Karen earned her Bachelors Degree in Engineering while attending Villa Maria College and D'Youville University. She was employed by Alkegen, in Tonawanada, New York as a(n) Master Development Technician. She enjoyed bike riding to anywhere the road went. Karen loved photography. She would take photo's of anything outdoors; sunsets, water, golfing, flowers and her lovable cats Sunny and Blizzard. She could not take enough photo's of her most cherished part of life, her son Jacob. Karen is survived by her loving and cherished son, Jacob D Hanson; dear mother Linda Tower; sister-in-law Jean (Daniel) Stopa; brother-in-laws Thomas (Lori) Hanson, Mark Labosky and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband James E Hanson, sister-in-law Trisha Labosky and brother-in-law Peter Hanson. The family will be present on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 N. Fourth Street (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets), Lewiston, where Funeral Services will follow at 12 PM. Rev. Richard Csizmar officiating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
