Obituary of Barbara K. Bewlay

Barbara K. Bewlay, of Wheatfield, NY peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the age of 80. Born on November 24, 1943 in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Alice (nee Conroy) Karge. Barbara was a 1965 graduate of the University of Washington, earning her BA in Education. Following college, she served in the United States Army as a Captain from 1965-1968. She married her beloved husband Richard H. Bewlay on November 5, 1966 in the Women's Army Corp Chapel in Fort McClellan, Alabama. Mrs Bewlay enjoyed spending time with her dear family. She was a proud supporter of the Niagara Pioneer Soccer Organization, 40 year member of the Gourmet Club of Youngstown and the librarian for the Niagara Youth Orchestra in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada. Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by a brother Robert T. "R.T." Karge. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard; loving children, David (Robin), William and Stephen (Holly) Bewlay; cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica, Juliet and Jacob; dear siblings, Richard (Kyong) Karge of Folsom, CA and Michael (Liz) Karge of Folsom, LA; also survived by nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends for a Celebration of Barbara's Life on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 N. Fourth Street (N.
