Obituary of Jean G. Palmer

Jean G. Palmer entered into eternal rest at her home in Lewiston, NY on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was 95. Born in Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland on October 14, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Jessie (nee Barr) Johnstone.
Jean married Robert Palmer on June 7, 1952 in Niagara Falls, New York. She worked for Marine Midland Bank and then HSBC as a secretary, retiring in 1990. Following retirement, Jean and Robert began traveling in the southern United States. Jean enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Senior Center of Lewiston.
Besides her parents, Jean is predeceased by her loving son David Palmer; dear siblings Elizabeth Hood, Jessie Thompson and John Johnstone.
Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years Robert; loving children, Brian Palmer and Iain Palmer; cherished grandchildren, Steven (Kim), Michael, Shannon, Jason and Anna Palmer; adored great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cameron, Kailyn, David, Shawn and Lilliana; also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 N. Ridge Street, (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets) Lewiston, where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10 AM. Friends invited.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jean's memory to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
