Obituary of Malcolm R. Johannes

Malcolm R. Johannes, of Ransomville, NY, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in Niagara Hospice House. He was 75. Born on October 1, 1948 in Niagara Falls, New York, the son of the late Ernest and Anne (nee Farr) Johannes. Malcolm joined the US Airforce during the Vietnam war serving from 1968-1972, receiving an honorable discharge as a Sargent.
Malcolm met his beloved wife of 46 years, the former Brenda Senek and married on May 6, 1978 in the Fillmore Chapel in Ransomville, NY. He worked for Modern Disposal as a truck driver for 42 years. Malcolm was a lifetime exempt member of the Ransomville Fire Company. He enjoyed the racing at Ransomville Speedway and could be seen there on Friday nights and could also be found at Senek Farms, helping out his family. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman who loved spending time with his family.
Besides his parents, Malcolm is predeceased by his daughter Dara House and brother Donald (late Rita) Johannes.
He is survived by his wife Brenda; loving daughter Megan (Shawn Stemper) Johannes; dear son-in-law Matthew House; caring siblings Ross (Claudia) Johannes and David (Donna) Johannes; also survived by dear sister-in-law's, brother-in-law's, nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 5-7 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM. US Air Force Military Honors will follow. Friends invited.
