Joseph G. Carroll, of Youngstown, NY, passed peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home. He was 88. Born on March 12, 1936, in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (nee Glynn) Carroll. Joseph graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in accounting from Niagara University with a minor in History. He married the former Josephine M. Lombardo on September 25, 1965 in Assumption Church, Buffalo. Joseph was a devote Catholic. He would visit the local shrine's and pray. He enjoyed watching historical movies. Joe formerly co-owned racing horses and still enjoyed betting on the ponies from time to time. Besides his parents, Mr. Carroll is predeceasd by his beloved bride of 57 years. He is survived by his loving son Joseph P. Carroll. There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements by the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from St. Bernard's Parish, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY 14174 at 10 AM. Famiy and friends are asked to please assemble at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joseph's memory to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
