Betty J. Allen, age 99, of Youngstown, NY, entered into eternal rest, peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Sisters Of Charity Hospital. Betty was born on September 10, 1924 in Shreve, OH, the daughter of the late Marion J. and Dorothy M. (nee Jones) Walker. She married the late Herbert J. Allen on March 22, 1947, who predeceased her in 1996. Betty was a longtime and once very active parishioner of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, the Girl Scouts of America and Youngstown Home Bureau. She will be dearly missed by all. Besides her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by her son Mark Allen in 2016. Betty is survived by her loving daughter Barbara (William) Irvine of Niagara Falls, ON; dear daughter-in-law Bonnie Allen; cherished grandchildren Cori (Jeffrey) Cosgrove, Kyle (Derek) Sloma, Kristy Quarantillo and Jamie Allen; adored great-grandchildren Ava, Jake, Sophia, Colin, Makenna and Ella. Arrangements by the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston. Services will be held privately by the family.
