Daniel T. Jeffords, age 73, of Amherst died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 17, 2024. Daniel was born July 14, 1950, in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Elton V. and Barbara (Tweed) Jeffords. He served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970 and fought in Vietnam. From 1970 to 1973 he served in the U.S. Army Reserves. For a short time, Daniel was employed by the Niagara County Parks Department. Daniel enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and boating with his father, as well as hunting and camping. He was a member of the V.F.W. Lake Ontario Post 313 in Youngstown. He is survived by one son: Ryan Jeffords; a granddaughter, Alexis Azzarelli; a brother, Dale Jeffords and two sisters, Diane C. Ventry and Debra Lonneville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Duane, Dwight, and Dennis "Jamie" Jeffords. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, June 28, at 11:00 am in Niagara Falls Memorial Park, Lewiston, NY with the Rev. Robert Hagel officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the V.F.W. Lake Ontario Post 313, 434 Third Street, Youngstown, NY 14174.
