My deepest sympathy Paula in the loss of Ron. Every time he came in the office we would have the best long conversations.
His company was always so enjoyable.
He always expressed his love of his home, you and Brandon.
Sending you my thoughts and prayers

I really respected Ron. When I worked with the county Youth Bureau in the mid 70’s Ron helped us to create a county wide newspaper called Thee Paper written and edited by county wide high school students. Those students were invited to the Iowa young writers conference where Thee Paper won several awards.
Never would have happened without Ron.
He was a class act and a gentleman.
God Bless

I worked for Ron at the Niagara Observer as copysetter and proofreader. As a hopeful, young author, I wrote a human interest piece and left it on his desk. When he found it, he came to me and said, "I didn't know you could write!" That was music to my ears, and got me my own weekly column. Thanks for the opportunity, Ron. God Bless.

Hello Paula~
I never knew Ron but my heartfelt condolences.
I just learned of Greg's passing yesterday from the NU alumni magazine. We were counselor's in the NiaCap Alcoholism program back in '74-'75.
I met you briefly when you lived just down Cayuga St. from us in Lewiston.
My sympathies for both Ron and Greg.

So sad this great man has passed. He was my boss at the Niagara Observer when I was the reporter there and we always had a quality paper. He encouraged my feature stories & “scoops” of stories ahead of the other local papers. He loved this area & its history. He gave me a chance as a Regular reporter and not just family news when that’s all female reporters were assigned. He had faith in me & I did prove him right. He always gave people a chance. My husband Rick & I were dating back then and he treated him like family too. Our condolences to Paula & the rest of his family & wide circle of friends- he will be truly missed.
