Obituary of Caroline C. Zimmerman

Caroline Christine Zimmerman (Nee Tillotson), age 88, of Ransomville, NY died peacefully at Our Lady of Peace in Lewiston on March 3rd, 2024, after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 13th, 1936, in Cambria, NY to the late Arnold Lee Tillotson and Mabel Mae Tillotson (Nee Jeffords). Caroline was married to Harold “Harvey” Zimmerman Sr. for 62 years at the time of his death, he predeceased her on March 10th, 2014. She worked for and retired from Faery’s Greenhouse and Nursery, previously working at Sayer Farms and Baker Farms. Caroline go her greatest joy from her dog, Douchy, playing bingo, spending time with her family and listening to country music, especially 90 West. Surviving is her children; Harold “Butch” (Joan) Zimmerman Jr., Sharon (Lolly) Wilson, Gary Zimmerman, Sandra (Glenn) Pless, Gregory Zimmerman, Cynthia (Troy) Orsak, Thomas Zimmerman; her siblings, Viola Rice, June (Joe) Arellano, Dawn Pierce; a son in law Fred Wilkesmore; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews. Caroline is predeceased by her daughter, Carol Wilkesmore, a great grandson, Austin Wilson and her siblings, Melvin Jeffords, Gordon Jeffords, Audrey Ritchie, Ruth Wilson, Bunny Sanney, Annabell Tilllotson, Gertrude Welland and Calvin Tillotson. Family and friends may call on THURDSAY from 3-7 PM. at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 RANSOMVILLE RD. RANSOMVILLE, NY 14131. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery at the Convenience of the family.
