Gerald A. "Gippster" Gipp
January 2, 1963-February 25, 2024
Age 61 of Lewiston, NY. Gerry was a son of the late Arthur and Joan Gipp. He lived his entire life in Lewiston graduating from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1981. He went on to earn an AOS from Alfred State College in 1983.
Known as "Gippster", he owned and operated Gippster's Collision on Balmer Rd in Youngstown for many years beginning in 1991. His interest in cars extended to classic and customized models which he could be seen driving in Lewiston and Youngstown. He was a fan of stock car racing at Ransomville Speedway where he, at one time, sponsored the 4-cylinder class, worked on a pit crew, and eventually drove a car.
Gerry was a member of the Lower Niagara Moose and a long-time member of the 3-F Club. He was a past Vice President of the 3-F's board of directors. He had a life-long interest in hunting and particularly in fishing, often on Lake Ontario and occasionally in Costa Rica.
Gerry was always kind to senior citizens and to animals. He was a cat-person convert and leaves behind Paco, Corky, and Tito who will miss his lap to sit on.
Gerry is survived by his wife, Sue A. Brade, who will forever cherish the time they had together. There is not a dating site on the internet that would ever have matched them together, yet they were happily married for more than 21 years.
Also left to remember Gippster's antics and mourn his passing are the best friends a guy could ever have. There are simply too many of you to list here.
Memories will be shared at a Celebration of Gerry's Life on Friday, March 15, 2024, 4pm-8pm at the 3-F Club, 904 Swann Rd, Youngstown, NY 14174.
Interment will be Saturday, March 16, 2024, 11am, Dickersonville Cemetery, Ridge Road, Lewiston, NY.
