Obituary of Henry B. Hinckley III

Henry B, “Hank” Hinckley III of Youngstown, NY entered into rest on Tuesday February 20th, 2024, at home. Hank was born on February 29th, 1936, in Chicago, IL to the late Robert and Edna (Nee Eder) Hinckley. He served in the United State Army in the Chemical Corp. honorably discharged in 1966 at the rank of First Lieutenant. He attended North Park Seminary, Purdue University then completing his master’s degree in chemical engineering with an MBA from West Virginia University.
Hank worked for and retired from Union Carbide in WV also Niacet in Niagara Falls, NY. He was an avid sailor and served as Commodore of the Olcott Yacht Club. He received numerous awards and honors from many charitable and community organizations.
Surviving is his loving companion of 24 years, Janice O’Keefe of Youngstown, NY; his daughters Katherine (Jeff) Vaughn of Martins Ferry OH, Deborah (Mike) Baker of Honeoye, NY and Elisabeth (Jose) Robles of Williamsburg, VA; his sister Kathryn Nance of California; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren as well as Maureen Gambino and Patrick O’Keefe of Youngstown, NY.
