Betty A. Stanton, age 87, of Lockport died Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Elderwood at Lockport She was born November 26, 1936 in Saskatchewan, Ontario, the daughter of the late Harry and Thelma (Olsen) Reynolds. Betty was employed as a House Manager of a Group Home in Sanborn by Rivershore, Inc. for over 20 years. Previous to that she had also worked at Pfeiffer Foods in Wilson. She was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Betty volunteered with her husband, James W. Stanton, as marriage counselors at the Victory Christian Center in Lockport for many years. They are members of Grace Chapel in Lockport as well. In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her children, Rev. Ron (Kathy) Friedersdorf, Warren (Margaret Giller) Friedersdorf, Stephan (Alena) Friedersdorf, and Lois Miller. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNEAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Saturday, February 24, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at Noon in the Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Dombrowski officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery.
