Obituary of Edward P. Stauffer

Edward P. Stauffer, age 55 of Ransomville, died unexpectedly on Sunday July 26, 2009 at his residence. Edward was born February 26, 1954 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Carl and Leanna (Hoffman) Stauffer. He was a 1972 graduate of LaSalle High School and has resided in Ransomville since 1984. Edward was employed by the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission as a Toll Collector for 25 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed nature, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by two sisters, Karen (Jim) Ginter of Cheektowaga, NY and Eileen (Paul) Franke of Barker, NY; three brothers, Wayne Stauffer and Daniel Stauffer both of Niagara Falls, and Steven Stauffer of Auburn, NY; his God Child, Nicolette Frye of Niagara Falls, and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Friends may at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 30, at 10:30 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Moran officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., WNY Chapter, 315 Alberta Dr., Amherst, NY 14226 or to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13270-3049.
