Obituary of Audrey E. Woolson

Audrey E. Woolson, age 81, of the Town of Lewiston died Friday, August 18th, 2023, at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Audrey was born on May 6th, 1942, in Niagara Falls, NY. She is the daughter of the late Frederick W. and the late Dorothy (Schultz) Butz. Audrey was a graduate of Lew-Port class of 1960. She married Richard E. Woolson on June 24th, 1961, they have been married for 62 years. Audrey was employed by Mt. View Health Facility as a Nurses Aid for 20 years. She was a member of the Lockport UCC, a member of the Kings and Daughters organization at the church. She was also the head of the basket raffles at the church; a member of the mixed couples bowling league at Frontier and Beverly Lanes. She loved crafts, sewing, gardening, ceramics, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband; Richard E. Woolson and three daughters; Sandra (Robert) Woolson-Van Dette, Tina (Charles) Pike and Diane (Patrick) Quinn; also, her brothers, Wayne (Diane) Butz and Gary (Paula) Butz; a sister in law Gayle Butz; her grandchildren, P.J, Caitlin and Mary Quinn, Ashley Pike, Sara (Janelle) Van Dette and Katie Van Dette, also several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Fred Butz and grandson Richard Quinn Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. at Hardison Funeral Homes Inc., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 24th at Lockport UCC, 98 East Ave, Lockport, NY with Rev. Richard Danielson officiating.
