John E. Moore, age 78, of Lewiston died Wednesday, August 9th, 2023, at home under the care pf Niagara Hospice. Mr. Moore was born on February 20th, 1945, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Gerald W. and the late Mary Louise (Conrad) Moore. He was a 1964 graduate of Lew-Port CSD. He served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam war from 22 Nov 1965 to 11 Aug 1969. John married Lim Inn Lee on February 8th, 1969. He retired in 2013 from Pipefitters Union #22 Buffalo, NY after 47 years. John was a member of the Masonic Lodge Niagara LaSalle Lodge #132, where he was a past Master, also the VFW #313 Lake Ontario Post and the Youngstown Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Lim Inn “ Umpon” (Lee) Moore, a daughter, Dr. April (Dr. Adam) Moore-Doktor; his sisters, Kathleen (Robert) Gratz and Suzanne (Late Edward) Keenan; his grandchildren, Jackson, and Charlotte Doktor. He is predeceased by his infant brother, Gerald Moore. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 14th at the Lutheran Church of The Messiah, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston, NY with Rev. Timothy Anas officiating. Burial will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW Youngstown or Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094, or Lutheran Church of The Messiah, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston, NY 14092.
