Doris C. Tower (Nee Chase) 98 of Anderson, SC formerly of Ransomville, NY entered into rest on May 11th, 2023. Born in Buffalo on June 13th, 1924, to the late Clarence and Violet (Graser) Chase. She was a graduate of South Park H.S, going on to serve in the U.S Navy during World War II. Doris was a homemaker most of her life but briefly worked at Hooker Chemical and Marine Midland Bank in Wilson. She married George Tower on August 28th, 1965, he predeceased her in 2010.
Doris was a former Girl Scout and 4H leader, a member of the Ransomville Mothers Club and Garden Club. She enjoyed camping, bowling, playing cards with family and friends and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, Buffalo Sabres, Atlanta Braves and NASCAR.
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Fred) Faery, Barbara (Roger) Brawn, Reeve (Margaret) Tower, Melissa Tower, George Tower, Allison (James) Steele and Jennifer Tower Gosselin; her sister, Shirley Garvey Moran; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Peggy (Clifford) Juhl and Alton (Hazel) Chase.
Graveside services will be held on July 15th, 2023, at 11:00 AM. in North Ridge Cemetery Church Rd. Cambria, a celebration of life will follow at 1:00 PM. at the Bandanas Bar and Grill 930 Lake Rd.
