Obituary of Douglas E. Krell

Douglas E. Krell, age 67, of Lewiston died Monday, June 5th, 2023, at Buffalo General Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Doug was born on January 12th, 1956, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Ernest K. and the late Patricia (O’Donnell) Krell. He was retired from Harper International, in Cheektowaga, where he worked as a Design Engineer, previously working at Nevada Power in Las Vegas, NV, as a Senior Engineering Tech. After his retirement he began working at the NACC in Niagara Falls as the Operations Manager. Doug was passionate about woodworking, spending every day in his workshop. He loved riding motorcycles and was the former president of his motorcycle club in Las Vegas. After high school football, he went on to play semi-pro football for the Niagara Spartans. He enjoyed his daily breakfast at Marketside and he was always being a jokester. He is survived by his son Douglas Krell; his companion Kathy Krell, his siblings, Bev (Jeffrey) Schurr, Karl (Catherine) Krell, Valerie (David) Capriotti, Theresa (David) Kopasz and Ernest (Amanda) Krell; also several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 11th from 2-5 PM. at Hardison Funeral Homes Inc., 401 Ridge St. (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets), Lewiston, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, June 12th at St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, NY. ( Please assemble at the church) Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
