In the 1970's I was a teenager who was friends with her children. They were our neighbor in Youngstown NY, and I have fond memories of those times. Ellen would have my mother "keep an eye" on her kids from time to time, as she worked away from home. I think what I remember most about Ellen is how she was ALWAYS dressed well and looked very lady like! She was never in shorts or casual clothes...always beautiful!
