Obituary of Robert W. Reese Jr.

Robert W. “Bob” Reese, Jr., age 73, of Youngstown died suddenly on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, NY Bob was born on August 10th, 1949, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Robert W. and the late Kathryn (Kuhns) Reese Sr. He was a graduate of Niagara Falls HS class of 1967. Bob served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam from 1968 to 1969 and then married Carol Burtch on June 6th, 1992. He retired from Delphi Thermal Systems after 35 years as a millwright. Bob was a longtime volunteer at Niagara Hospice Fundraising. He enjoyed working around the house and riding his Kubota around, he was the kind of guy who was always willing to help out friends and family and neighbors, he was just a happy kind of guy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol (Burtch) Reese; his sister Marjorie (Late John) Gray; brother-in-law Jerry Standard and sister-in-law Maureen Reese, bob was the beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings Barbara Standard and James Reese. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 10th from 3-7 PM at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 11th in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery.
