Obituary of DuWayne G. Brabec, Jr.

DuWayne G. "Butch" Brabec, Jr., age 56, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Wednesday January 12, 2011 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston. Butch was born September 20,1954 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of DuWayne G. Brabec, Sr. of Youngstown and the late Pauline A. (Keck) Brabec. He was a 1972 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School and on July 24, 1976 he married Beverly M. (Horth) Brabec. For the past 33 years Butch has been employed by UPS. A "dedicated worker", he was the Manager for UPS's facility at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport in Cheektowaga. Butch was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Youngstown. He loved music, boating, cars, and woodworking. In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Beverly; his sons, Robert, Steven, and Brian Brabec all of Lewiston; a grandson, Austin R. Brabec; two brothers, Ernest R. Brabec and Michael Brabec both of Youngstown; and two sisters, Debra F. (Dan) O'Laughlin of Greenville, WI and Victoria L. (Tim) Quarantillo of Youngstown. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 15, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Blemaster officiating. Burial in the Acacia Park Cemetery will be private.
