Obituary of James L. Luff

James Luff, age 67, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home in Niagara Falls. Jim was born August 16, 1955 in Niagara Falls, the son of the late Donald and Rita (Pratt) Luff. He was a 1973 graduate of Wilson High School and was the senior class president. Jim went on to Niagara University where he received his B.A. in Accounting and then Alfred State College where he studied Ornamental Horticulture. He had worked for his family farm, Luff Greenhouses, since he was 15 years old and was the owner operator from 1980 until its' closing. For 10 years he was employed by DeFranco Hardware in Niagara Falls. Jim was an avid poker and dart player. He enjoyed jazz music and attending Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Jim was a fanatical fan of the Chelsea Soccer Club as well. He is survived by his longtime friend Michael Lute and a sister, Jackie (Scott) Benton. .
