Obituary of Josephine M. Carroll

Josephine M. Carroll, age 85, of Youngstown died Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Lewiston. She was born May 26, 1937 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Salvatore “Sam” and Sarah (Bianca) Lombardo and was a graduate of Grover Cleveland High School. She married Joseph G. Carroll on September 25, 1965 and they had resided in Niagara Falls before moving to Youngstown 20 years ago. Josephine was a member of St. Bernard RC Church in Youngstown. She enjoyed reading and watching movies.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Joseph P. Carroll of Youngstown and a brother, Anthony Lombardo of N. Kingston, RI.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 28 at St. Bernard's RC Church, Hinman & Second, Youngstown, NY with the Rev. Cole Webster officiating. There will be no prior visitation. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092.
