Obituary of Karolyn Anne Gorrow

A memorial service celebrating the life of Karolyn Anne Gorrow will be held on Sunday February 12th, 2023, at the Ransomville Baptist Church (2582 Youngstown Lockport rd. Ransomville, New York) at 1pm. Karolyn left our presence to enter into our Heavenly Father’s loving arms on November 24th, 2022 (Thanksgiving Day) while under the compassionate care of the staff at Mount St. Mary’s hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, New York in 1938, the daughter of the late Antonio and Victoria (Janese) Fama, wife of the late Richard D. Gorrow Sr. Karolyn enjoyed her working career by being employed as an aide for the Niagara Falls Board of Education, Housekeeping for Mount St. Mary’s hospital and most recently as a Sous Chef at the Best Western Inn on the River in Niagara Falls New York. As with all her sisters she enjoyed baking and cooking, but most of all sharing her culinary creations with family, friends, and neighbors. She enjoyed many hours reading and in study of God’s word. Although she is no longer living amongst us, she will always be a part of our lives living in the hearts of her children, Caroline (Stephen) Wojton, Richard D. (Susan) Gorrow Jr., Cynthia (Dennis) Chmaj, and Edward Gorrow. Her many Grand and Great Grandchildren; Jennifer (Scott) Williamson, Christina Wojton, Karolyn (James) Massaro, Lyndsey (Michael) Arquette, Erica Gorrow, Alexandria (Eric) Barker, Elizabeth (Jon) Sorley, Richard Gorrow III and Jennifer Gaetano. Karolyn was part of a family of five sisters in which their Father Antonio considered each as a jewel in His crown. Floretta (the late John) Roberts, the late Catherine Elia, Toni (the late Louis) Baratta, Vicki Fabiano (Robert Gzyl) She will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a cute furry friend named Paws. As we will be gathering together on February 12th @ 1pm at the Ransomville Baptist Church we will cherish those fond memories of Karolyn Gorrow and our Heavenly Father’s Grace, Love and Mercy on her life.
