to the Lehman family, I’m so sorry I just heard of Dorothy‘s passing today is January 13. I am in Florida. I’ve lived here now for two years and luckily for me my last year in New York. I made it a point to stop in and see Dorothy and we reminisced about our old high school days. She is sadly missed Sharon Burmaster.

Dorothy E. Lehman was a very special person. Anyone who knew her knew the truth of that statement. While she was not an educator in the sense of being a certified teacher or administrator, still her life was bound in education. Indeed, over the absolutely amazing years she served as aide, one of my secretaries in the elementary principal's office, she touched the lives of countless number of students, and teachers. She is not with us, but allow me, for a moment, to imagine that she is. To her, we say, "We miss you, Dorothy; we miss you as do the children whose lives you touched as does the entire elementary school. We honor your memory and want you to know that you rest in our love." Gerald Tucker, Principal/Director of Elementary Education
