Obituary of Norman J. Seabert

Norman J. Seabert 87, of the Town of Cambria, died Saturday December 24th, 2022, after a brief illness. Born on April 18th, 1935, in Niagara Falls, Ny to the late Frederick and Erna (Nee Barkow) Seabert. He graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1952. Norm served in the U.S Naval Reserve and worked as a carpenter with Wright and Kramer and then Laver- Mack. He was a member of the Carpenters Union LOCAL # 276 for 40 years. On October 1, 1955, he married his beloved wife Norma (Nee Schendel) Seabert who predeceased him in 2015. He is also predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in law Irwin and Gertrude and Gordon and Carol Seabert. Norman was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at North Ridge. He held many position on different boards over the years. He could always be found on his son’s farm helping wherever needed, and at the N.T Farmers Market, where his specialty was selling the sweetcorn. He loved spending time with his family, bowling, hunting pheasants, the church and lending a helping hand to whomever needed it. He is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Heinz (Sam Saltal) of South Carolina; a son Kenneth (Debra) Seabert of Cambria; 4 grandchildren Kyle (Jennifer) Seabert, Kari (Eric) Felker, Justin Israel, Jaren (Joanne) Israel; 6 great grandchildren, Aubrey, Adeline, Kelsie, Isabelle, Nicholas, and Matthew, also several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at the HARDSION FUNEREAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville, Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131 from 3-7 PM. on FRIDAY. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at North Ridge on SATURDAY at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery.
