William K. “Billy” Norbut, age 58, of Ransomville died suddenly on Monday, December 5, 2022, at home. Billy was born on October 21, 1964, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Paul J. “Grumpy” and the late JoAnn K. (nee Bush) Norbut. Billy was a 1983 graduate of Lew-Port High School He married late Marcy Shaw, she predeceased him on February 28, 2003. He was employed by Newfane Central School District as part of the school’s maintenance personnel recently retiring with over 30 years of service, Billy really enjoyed the students and the atmosphere at Newfane CSD. He was a 40-year member of the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. and often volunteered time at the beer concession stand raising funds for the fire co. at the Ransomville Speedway. He was an avid NASCAR fan and Jeff Gordon fan. Surviving is his brother Paul J. Norbut Jr. (Lucian Prevatt), also, aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved cat and dog, Sam. He is predeceased by his parents and his aunt Margaret “Peggy” Norbut. A memorial service will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 17th at the Ransomville Vol Fire Co., 2521 Youngstown Lockport Rd., Ransomville, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 239, Ransomville, NY 14131 Arrangements entrusted to Hardison Funeral Homes Inc.
