Edward Francis Lilly age 85 years. Born in Philadelphia February 19, 1937. Survived by his wife, of 66 years, Helen Lunn Lilly, and father of five children. Helen Colleen Kennard (Charles), Edward M. Lilly (Alison), Kenneth H. Lilly (Karen), Kathleen A. Kozlowski (Joseph), Kevin J. Lilly (Yolanda). Twelve grandchildren, Daniel and Dylan Kennard, Allissa, David, Aaron, Ryan, Spencer, Drake, and Teal Lilly, Paul, Julianne Szostak and Joseph Kozlowski. Four great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Edward J. and Marie (Maguire) Lilly and a sister and brother.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa. his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he attended Our Lady of Angles Grade School. The family moved back to Philadelphia where he attended West Philadelphia Catholic High School for Boys graduating in 1954. He graduated Drexel Institute of Technology Evening College Philadelphia in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of Cross Keys Student Service Fraternity.
Ed was employed at E.I. DuPont for 27 years starting in Wilmington, Delaware and transferred in 1980 to the Niagara Falls, NY plant where he was Contract Supervisor.
In 1965 he was president of Pennsauken/Merchantville Jaycees in New Jersey. He was a Little League Baseball Coach.
For the last 23 years he was at his winter home in Naples, Florida and helped plan the new High Point Clubhouse enjoying many activities and making two holes in one. He and his wife traveled to 48 states and 5 Continents and enjoyed many cruises.
Calling hours will be held on TUESDAY (12/6) from 4-7 PM. at the Hardison Funeral Homes Inc. 401 Ridge St. Lewiston, NY 14092. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on WEDNESDAY (12/7) at 10:00 AM at St. Peter’s RC Church 600 Center St. Lewiston, NY 14092.
