Jacqueline D. Taylor, age 74 of The Villages FL, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Cornerstone Hospice of The Villages, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 22, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Elizabeth (Rose) Wilcox. Jacqueline was a resident of Niagara Falls NY, Waterport NY, and The Villages, FL. She was a loyal, dedicated employee to several area restaurants. Jacqueline retired as a secretary from RW Taylor Contractors in Waterport NY. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Jacqueline enjoyed gardening, shopping, dining out, and being a part of her church family in Florida.
She is survived by her husband William Taylor of Waterport NY; her children, Steve Stevens of Lewiston, Douglas (Joann) Stevens of Watertown NY, and Jesse (Rebecca) Holka of the Villages FL; two step children, Tamara (Kevin) Edwards of Wisconsin and Megan Taylor of Youngstown; her sisters, Eileen ("Sonny" Clarence) Stevens of Littlelton CO, Rachel (the late Orlando) Pizzalia of Niagara Falls NY, and Kathy Worlock of Littleton CO; a sister in law, Lois Wilcox of Niagara Falls, NY; six precious grandchildren, Lynette Brandon, Doug, Janelle, and David Stevens, Jessica (Colt) McDowell, and Jamie Holka; three step grandchildren, Brandon Edwards, Allison and Gabriel Taylor; three great grandchildren, Jennifer and John Brandon, and Bella McDowell; and several nieces and nephews. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her brother Conrad Wilcox.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Tuesday from 2- 4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, at 10:00 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. Abe Dueck officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown.
