Obituary of Virginia D. Pearce

Virginia Pearce, age 86, of Ransomville, wife of the late Charles “Chuck” Pearce died on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022, at OLP in Lewiston, NY. Virginia was born October 14th, 1936, in Andalusia, AL. She is the daughter of the late Charles and the late Elsie (Hooks) Dawkins. Virginia was a graduate of Wilson CSD. She married Charles Pearce on May 3rd, 1958, he predeceased her on March 5th, 2003. She was a homemaker all of her life, a foster mother for over 35 years, a leader of the Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts of America receiving the silver fawn award. She was a member of the St. Francis craft Guild of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and a member of the Ransomville Baptist Church since 1955. She is survived by her children; Charles K. Pearce Jr., Valerie (Gale) Culverwell, Clifford (Lynn) Pearce, Christopher (Barbara) Pearce and Mark Hill; a sister Evelyn Lotts; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her siblings Sandra Janda and Richard Dawkins. Calling hours will be on Saturday, October 22nd from 4-6 PM. at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM. on Sunday, October 23rd at the funeral home with Rev. Lonnie Thoms officiating. Burial will be in Northeast Cambria Union/ Budd Rd. Cemetery.
