Obituary of Donald F. Zastrow

Donald F. Zastrow, age 57 of the Town of Cambria, died Tuesday December 14, 2010 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Don was born June 21, 1953 in Lockport, the son of the late Willard F. and Shirley A. (Wilkins) Zastrow. He was a 1971 graduate of Starpoint High School and had served in the U. S. Marine Corps, honorably discharged in 1973. Don worked for Bob McCollum Farms in the Town of Cambria for 20 years. He is survived by a sister, Darlene A. Zastrow of the Town of Cambria; two brothers, Douglas W. Zastrow of the Town of Cambria and Duane W. Zastrow of North Carolina; his nieces and nephews, Chad and Jeremy Zastrow, Veronica (Norman) Thuman, and Rob (Andrea) Zastrow; and cousin, Christine Sattleberg and her daughter, Amanda who helped him throughout his illness. Don had requested that his body be donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at the University of Buffalo. His family will be present to receive friends at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Saturday from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
