Obituary of LeVan C. Brown

LeVan C. "Tweezer" Brown, age 78 of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Saturday December 11, 2010 in the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo.
Tweezer was born January 9, 1932 in Lockport, the son of the late Harold and Lillian (Frost) Brown. He was a 1950 graduate of Niagara Falls High School and a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and Lewiston. Tweeze owned and operated Brown's Service Station at the corner of Main and Pine Streets in Niagara Falls for over 40 years. He then was employed by Hertz Car Rental in Niagara Falls for 10 years. He retired in 2009 from Carousel Reality in Niagara Falls where he was employed as a Real Estate Agent. On September 11, 1954 he married Nina C. (Robins) Brown. Nina predeceased him on August 17, 2007.
Tweezer was a member of the former Lutheran Church of the Escarpment in Lewiston and a former member of the Gasoline Retailers of WNY. He was heavily involved with his Niagara Falls High School Class of 1950 Reunion Committee. Tweezer loved people and enjoyed helping his neighbors with their homes, washing windows, yard work, and snow blowing.
He is survived by two daughters, Betsy Kay Brown of Lewiston and Bonnie Sue (Mick) Trunzo of North Tonawanda; his grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Trunzo; and his special friend and companion, Josephine Piazza of Niagara Falls, NY.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Thursday from 1 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm. Memorial Services will be held Friday, December 17, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Elton Rengstorf officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
