Obituary of Diane C. Thompson

Diane Claire (nee Wolf) Thompson, 86, of Lewiston, NY joined our Lord on July 15, 2022 in Corsicana, TX. Diane was born in Buffalo, July 9, 1936, became a Registered Nurse in 1957 and served her community in DeGraff Hospital and later in pediatrics for over 40 year career. Diane had a deep faith and was active in the church in Bible studies and Cursillo Prison Ministry and volunteered with Niagara Hospice. The joy of Diane’s life was her family. She joins her beloved husband of 57 years, the late James B. Thompson, her parents the late Paul and Clarabelle Wolf, and her brother the late Joseph Wolf in eternal rest. Diane is survived by her four children, James and wife Ellen of New Milford, CT; daughter Jean Thompson Schuler and husband Bart of Newfane, NY; son Robert and wife Christine of Charlotte, NC; and son Brian and wife Michele of Corsicana, TX; as well as 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Diane is also survived by her sister Patricia Wolf Gruber of Grand Island, NY; Paula Wolf Twaits and husband Lee of Palm Harbor, FL; brother William and partner Nancy McAdams of Palm Harbor, FL; sister Christine Wolf Thoman and husband Jack of Williamsville, NY; sister Elizabeth Wolf Sass of Depew, NY; sister Mary Wolf Spengler and husband Robert of Lancaster, NY. A mass and celebration will be held on August 13, 2022 at 11:00AM at St. Brendan on the Lake RC Church, 3455 Ewings Rd. Newfane, NY.
