Norman D. Daniels 86, of Ransomville, husband of the late Betty J. Daniels (Nee Mattoon) entered into rest on July 27, 2022, at Roswell Park Cancer Inst. Buffalo, NY. Born on May 29, 1936, in Endicott, NY to the late Norman P. and Evelyn Daniels. Norman enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. serving from 1953- 1956. He worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers from 1957-1972, during this time he worked on building power dams across the United States including locally at the Niagara Power Project. On June 2nd, 1972, he married Betty J. Mattoon, she predeceased him on December 11, 2020. Norman went on to work for Thomas Carter Trucking and Excavating as a master diesel mechanic from 1972 until his retirement in 2003. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed being outdoors , taking daily hikes in the Niagara Gorge and hiking in the Adirondacks with his son.
Surviving is his children; Tammi (Bo) Murrell, Rodney ( Late Tami) Daniels, Stepchildren; Thomas (Lynn) Bradley, Michael (Sheila) Bradley and Mitchell (Terri) Bradley; his brother, Dare Daniels; 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren also several nieces and nephews. Norm is predeceased by a daughter Sandy Daniels and Stepson R. Lee (Late Michelle) Bradley and his siblings June Hall, Joan Winston, Janice Gordyak and Dale Daniels.
Calling hours will be held at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 RANSOMVILLE RD. RANSOMVILLE, NY 14131 on MONDAY from 10:00 AM. to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00 PM. followed by burial in North Ridge Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be made the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund.
