Obituary of Faye M. Schotz

Faye M. Schotz, age 90, formerly of Wilson died Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Northgate Manor of North Tonawanda. She was born November 28, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Alfred and Ida (Pearson) Lange. Faye was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Education from Fredonia State Teachers College. She began her career as an Elementary School Teacher in 1961 with the Wilson Central School District and retired in 1985 after many years teaching at the Stevenson Elementary School in Ransomville. Faye was a member of the Wilson Gnostic Guild and an avid reader. She enjoyed traveling, entertaining at her home in Wilson as well as farming, canning, and gardening. She was especially fond of her Scottish Terriers. Most of all Faye enjoyed being with her longtime friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Schotz in 1990. She is survived by three sons: Michael (late Catherine) Schotz, Alfred (Graciela) Schotz and Christopher (Beverly) Schotz; and a sister, Fern (late Robert) Rairie. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 7 at the funeral home with Pastor Ruth Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery.
